With house prices in the UK still high, people who can't afford to buy British are snapping up Turkish Property and renting in Britain.

 

BARBies, people who Buy Abroad, Rent in Britain, are a growing breed and tend to be twenty-somethings keen to get their foot on the property ladder.

 

Buying a property in Turkey at prices far cheaper than at home, the BARBies often rent their Turkish homes as holiday lets and make enough money to rent back in Britain. Property in Turkey is booming right now so their investments are increasing in value as well as providing a regular income.

 

Figures for 2007 indicate that the rental yield on Turkish property was around 6.4%, higher than yields in France and Spain.

 

Many property investors are looking at making enough money from the rent and eventual sale of their Turkish properties that they can sell up in a few years and earn enough to re-invest back in the UK.
