Over 40,000 properties in Turkey have been snapped up by foreign buyers with Alanya taking the lion's share, according to research from the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO)

 

Of the 41,182 properties in Turkey owned by overseas investors, Alanya has 12,331 of these homes, around 29.9% of the total foreign-owned Turkish property market.

 

Alanya has 12,331 of the district of Antalya's 17,850 houses under foreign ownership and yet land for sale is not so popular in Alanya where there were only 501 of the Antalya district's 20,903 land sales.

 

The recent new bill on Turkish Property sales to foreigners means that only 10% of land can be sold to overseas investors where only 146 hectares of a total of 11,599 hectares have been sold so far (around 1.3%)
