Oceanwide Properties had a fabulous weekend with friends FETAV Fethiye Hayvan Dostlari Group (Animal Friends Charity) at the 9th Uzumlu Mushroom Festival. It was indeed bigger and better than previous years as promised, and the turn out was superb.
Thank-you to all that came to visit us over the weekend including all our past clients and friends – it’s always lovely to catch up and see you all, especially in such wonderful music-filled surroundings.
This year we shared the space in-front of our Uzumlu office with good people from the animal charity, Hayvan Dostlari who managed to raise more than 2,000TL towards their new Animal Education Centre. The charity, run under FETAV, intend building the centre in Calis, on land near popular bakery Baba Firin. Here they will educate the local community how to treat and care for domestic and street animals and wildlife. The group have already visited many schools in the local area over the past 12 months giving talks on animal welfare in the hope that future generations will grow up with a better understanding of animal rights. This is a very necessary education centre that will support the front line work of the neutering and spaying street animals in order to keep the populations under control. It will act in support of the emergency assistance and front-line medical care given to animals and wildlife in need funded by this charity and others groups in the area like Animal Aid and Animal Care.
