Here at Oceanwide Properties we’re delighted – and excited – to announce that we’ll be taking part in the major global overseas property exhibition A Place in the Sun Live at Birmingham’s NEC from September 27th to 29th.
The official showcase for the popular Channel 4 show, more than 150 property agents and investors are expected to be at the venue with bulging property portfolios and homes abroad ranging from £20,000 to more than £1 million in value.
Advice on Buying a Property in Turkey
Our director Suleyman Akbay will be on hand at the exhibition in Birmingham to offer advice and information to anyone considering purchasing Turkey property for either investment purposes (ie for a holiday home and rental option) or indeed thinking of moving to Turkey on a permanent basis as part of a retirement plan.
He’ll also have a portfolio of current properties to demonstrate and will be taking viewing inspection appointments during the three days of the exhibition. Suleyman and the Oceanwide Properties Turkey exhibit can be found at stand B31 from Friday to Sunday this week.
The A Place in the Sun exhibition itself is expected to attract more than 4000 visitors – many of whom have already made up their mind to invest abroad. Visitors will be able to look at properties from a number of European destinations including Spain, Greece and Italy in addition to Turkey.
Also on hand to ask questions at the exhibition will be Peter Robinson from the Association on International Property Professional. This is a UK-based body which regulates overseas property agents and developers – all of whom have signed up to a strict code of conduct in order to reassure prospective investors when it comes to purchasing property abroad.
Turkey One of The Most Popular Overseas Property Destinations
According to organisers of the exhibition Turkey has become an increasingly popular destination for property investors to the extent it is one of the top locations today. Particularly popular are the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts with resorts such as Fethiye and its surrounding areas, Kalkan, Didim, Antalya, Bodrum and Uzumlu attracting the majority of interest from potential buyers.
Other Exhibitions Highlights
At the A Place in the Sun exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to meet the programme’s sunny TV presenters themselves such as Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman, Amanda Lamb and Jonnie Irwin.
But the exhibition isn’t just about meeting famous faces and looking at a selection of properties. The serious investor will also be able to quiz the experts on the legal aspects of buying abroad in particular countries, including when it comes to property for sale in Fethiye, Kalkan and other increasingly popular resort areas in Turkey.
There will also be financial analysts on hand to help with currency information and, don’t forget the various offers, discounts and freebies a major exhibition such as this will involve. Even if you’re not looking to invest in Turkey property or anywhere abroad for that matter, we suspect you’ll still have a lot of fun at this event.
