A recent survey of some 4,000 travel agencies in Germany has rated Turkey the most popular and trusted holiday destination.
The survey, conducted by the Information Service for Travel Agencies and Travellers, TourExpi.com, found Germans to favour the Antalya province of Turkey over many worldwide destinations because of its infrastructure and safety factor.
Of those surveyed, 95 per cent of the elderly, 85 per cent of families with children and 70 per cent of the youth ranked Antalya trustable. Nearly 3 million German children visited Turkey with their families in 2011.
Speaking on the survey, Hüseyin Baraner, the representative for Turkey at Touristik Union International, a German travel and tourism company, said: The elderly and children feel safe the most during holidays in Turkey - families never consider going to an "unsafe" place.
The survey brings more good news to Turkey`s current buy-to-let investors, and bodes well for those looking to invest in Turkish property for a holiday home, longer-term stay or for potential investment yields.
