Seasons Greetings from Oceanwide Properties

OWP-Christmas-card

Oceanwide Properties and Oceanwide Properties News would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and peace, health and happiness for the coming year.

Oceanwide Properties love the run up to Christmas and New Year as it gives us a chance to thank all our clients, friends and readers for the support we have received over the past twelve months.

Let’s hope that 2017 is a better year for us all.

There’s no denying 2016 has been a challenging year for Turkey in many ways. The Syrian refugee crisis, terrorist bombings, a failed military coup and media scaremongering didn’t sit well with tourists or property investors. Turkish businesses, many very much reliant on tourism and foreign trade, suffered no end. Will 2017 be a better year? Well, let’s hope so.

2016 has been an interesting year for Oceanwide Properties.

Surprisingly, given the obvious struggles we faced, 2016 has been a good year for Oceanwide Properties. On entering the year we knew we had to adapt to a fall in our traditional British, Russian and foreign enquiries. Market research suggested that the local Turkish market was buoyant, as was interest from Arabs. Luckily this turned out to be the case. Our shift in focus and marketing efforts led to the sale of many properties to locals and Turks relocating to the area, alongside a number of Arabs and other foreigners now owning properties in the region.

What to expect from Oceanwide Properties in 2017.

Oceanwide Properties are looking forward to the new year and have some big plans in store…

New responsive and user friendly website. Our website was looking tired and needed work. To make sure all our vendor listings get the exposure they deserve and the site can be easily be viewed on mobile devices, we have spent the last few months developing a brand new website. This new site will be launched in January and be far more informative and user friendly. Properties will be clearly presented to attract investors, there will be a comprehensive questions and answers section covering all the main issues regarding buying and selling a property in Turkey, detailed location descriptions and up to date feed from our blog.

We are expanding! During 2016 Suleyman Akbay and the team have been hard at work forging relationships with partner agents and developers up and down the coast. By spring 2017 we will be representing many more properties in Bodrum, Marmaris and Antalya.

Suleyman Akbay,

“2016 was a hard year for many industry sectors including real estate. I am very thankful that Oceanwide Properties managed to adapt quickly to the shift in demand.  I believe it will take time for foreigners to regain confidence in Turkey, but I do believe their confidence will return. In the meantime we will continue to market properties internationally alongside developing the Turkish side of our business. We have some exciting plans for 2017 and I am looking forward to the year ahead.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that have helped and supported Oceanwide Properties during 2016 and wish them all a peaceful, healthy and prosperous new year!”
