Oceanwide Properties have had a good summer so far with a number of properties in and around Fethiye now sold. As a result, our portfolio needs spicing up. We are now on the hunt for resale properties and new developments in the area. We are particularly seeking villas, apartments and land in Ovacik, Calis, Uzumlu, Fethiye central, Faralya, Hisaronu and Kalkan.
Our marketing and sales strategy has been well tuned since our set up back in 2005. In the 10 years we have been established we have learnt what works and what doesn’t. We know there is no reason a property in Turkey shouldn’t sell providing it has all the legal paperwork in place (TAPU and habitation), is realistically priced and described well, has good photographs and is marketed correctly to the right people. That said, it should also be noted that the market here in Turkey is a little more challenging at the moment. The threat of terrorism, political issues and recent UK media scaremongering have caused some investors to steer clear. But on the whole, there are still buyers out there and thankfully, the majority of those serious about purchasing a villa or apartment in the Fethiye area are lifestyle seekers. Many will have already made their decision to purchase a property in Turkey as they like the location, have been to the area many times before, are attracted by the cost of living given the current exchange rate, or already have a property or development in mind. It just means that us agents have to work that little bit harder to convince investors to make the jump.

The property is discussed, realistically valued, photographs taken and banners placed. The description is professionally written by us and checked by you. The property highlighted on our website and listed on major overseas property portals like Right Move and A Place in the Sun. It’s sent out to our agents and featured on our popular news site Oceanwide Properties News that has a great reach and readership. You will often see the property on social media sites and included on direct mailings and press releases. Our vendor properties have featured in many local Turkish and national UK papers, industry press and a whole variety of other publications. If that wasn’t enough…we also feature them at A PLACE IN THE SUN EXHIBITION, we attend all three UK events on a yearly basis and gain a fabulous response.
