Summer is on its way
Yes, summer is most definitely on its way and we think now is the perfect time to look for property for sale in Turkey.
In recent days the Fethiye area has suffered from the dust coming in from the Sahara. Whilst still warm, the air has been hazy and you couldn’t see the mountains in the distance.
But after a fairly windy night the skies have cleared and the area is heading towards another glorious summer.
So we decided it was time to take a trip down to Calis to see what what going on.
Getting Ready for the Summer Business
Ramadan is earlier this year and international tourists are finally able to travel with very few restrictions. Therefore the local shops, bars, restaurants and hotels are already getting ready for the season.
Restaurant fronts are being painted and the beach is being swept. You’ll even catch sight of the local council giving railings a lick of paint and touching up the flower beds.
Plus the canals are being cleared of reeds, the day boats are back in the water and the water taxi is up and running..
Rental bikes are all polished and ready to be hired plus sunbeds and umbrellas are starting to be prepared.
The Tourists Are Coming
We’ve already spotted a number of visitors to the area who are making the most of the warmer weather, good exchange rates and the not yet busy bars and restaurants.
