KONYAALTI

Konyaalti is conveniently situated a few kilometres west of central Antalya. It is a relatively new suburb having sprung up in the 1990’s, and it continues to grow and is one of the most prized locations along the Turkish coast. BELEK

Just 30km east from Antalya centre, it has a good beach and transport links and is popular with those seeking a golfing or rental Turkish property

Appealing to those looking for a blend of traditional and contemporary, it is a very popular tourist and property investor choice with a number of very affordable properties on offer

Add to that the ancient old town with its Roman open-air museum and the Temple of Apollo separating two of the town’s main beaches and you have the perfect mix of past and present. ALANYA
The pretty Mediterranean coastal town of Alanya is 1.5 hours drive from Antalya city. It is a historic town renowned for its walled fortress with 140 historical towers. Its excellent beaches, natural attractions (such as Damlatas Cave) and its historical sites Alanya is a firm tourist favourite. The area accounts for nine per cent of Turkey’s annual tourism numbers.

KAS
The charming fishing town of Kas lies 168km from Antalya city and is accessible via Dalaman or Antalya Airports (a 2 hour transfer from both). Kas is a sophisticated town popular with Europeans and the yacht crowd. At its heart is a pretty working harbour with a warren of narrow little streets filled with an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, hotels and boutiques stretching back up the steep hillsides from the water front.
The Kas region of Antalya Province is famed for its sea vistas, tourism and citrus farms. Although the main income for the area is derived from tourism, if you head out of the town centre you will be surrounded by lemon and orange groves. Take a day trip and sail 2km out of harbour to the Greek island of Meis (Kastelorizo), one of the prettiest islands and a key ingredient in making the sea views and sunsets so mesmerising.

 

KALKAN
Kalkan is an up market little harbour town around 1.5 hours drive from Dalaman, Another popular European choice, it is hard not to be taken in by its glorious sea view properties and traditional Ottoman buildings draped in bougainvillea.
Kalkan is beautifully caught between the tumbling Taurus Mountains and the azure blue waters of the Mediterranean. A 15 minute drive out of Kalkan town will bring you to the un-crowded white sand beaches of Patara and Kaputas, highly protected areas and the habitat of the rare loggerhead  turtles. Further beaches are to be found in the coves of Kalamar, Kiziltas and Kisla. Backed by Lycian and Roman ruins, Kalkan falls under strict building laws meaning no high-rises here, just a varied selection of luxury villas and apartments stretching up the hillsides surrounding the bay and town centre. As you would expect, all the necessities for easy living are at hand including a fabulous array of local and international restaurants, shops, boutiques and bistros.
